The 40 psi propane regulator kit (5HPR-40) by Bayou Classic produces a huge amount of heat with the right burner. This 40 psi propane regulator kit is designed for high pressure propane applications. The hose on the 5HPR-40 measures 48 in and the fitting on the end of the hose is a 3/8 in flare swivel fitting. This regulator kit is different from all our other regulator kits. The difference is the regulator is NOT PRESET. The PSIs on this regulator are adjustable. The 5HPR-40 regulator kit is ideal for you if you are not sure of the PSIs you need. The POL on the 5HPR-40 is a soft nosed POL. You should be very careful with this regulator kit. The 5HPR-40 does NOT have a shut off mechanism like other regulator kits. The 40 psi regulator kit works great with Bayou Classic single and double jet cookers. The 5HPR-40 will not work with the Bayou Classic BG14 propane burner.
