The Crescent Nicholson half-round double-cut bastard files are ideal for materials containing iron, mild steel, plastics and wood. The coarse grade is ideal for use on concave, convex and flat surfaces. The two-sided files are rounded on one side and flat on the other, so you can round out holes with ease. Half-round bastard files are double-cut on the rounded sides, allowing you to quickly remove material from the work piece. Rounded on one side, flat on opposite, flat sides of all half-round files are double cut, backs are double cut. Used on concave, convex and flat surfaces. The Crescent Nicholson half-round rasp files are for trades workers with a bastard-cut texture for efficient material removal. The half-round shape with individually cut teeth is excellent at removing material from wood or soft metals. Attach any Crescent Nicholson handle to the tang for ease of use in a variety of applications, although the primary users are woodworkers, hobbyists, plumbers and other trades professionals.
